Terms of Use

Terms of Use for Formly.

These terms explain what Formly provides, what users are responsible for, how secure profile sharing works, and how purchases and service limits are handled.

1. What Formly provides

Formly is structured legal-form preparation software for supported forms, with a strong focus on immigration-related forms. It can store reusable profile information, guide users through form questions, route information by person or case role, fill supported PDF templates, handle continuation content, and generate preview and final PDF outputs.

Formly does not draft arbitrary legal documents, legal arguments, pleadings, contracts, or custom legal advice from scratch.

2. No legal advice, legal representation, or government affiliation

  • Formly and Frost Tec LLC are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice or legal representation. Using Formly does not create an attorney-client relationship.
  • Formly does not determine legal eligibility, choose a legal strategy, or decide whether an answer or filing is legally sufficient for your situation.
  • Formly is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by USCIS or any other government agency.
  • Formly does not guarantee that any form, application, petition, or other document will be accepted, approved, or produce a particular legal result.

3. Your responsibility for forms and filings

  • You are responsible for entering accurate, complete information and reviewing every generated PDF before using or submitting it.
  • You are responsible for confirming the current form edition, instructions, filing fees, signatures, supporting evidence, deadlines, filing location, and other requirements with the relevant agency or a qualified professional.
  • Formly generates documents but does not submit filings to government agencies on your behalf unless a future feature expressly states otherwise.
  • You may store or share information about another person only when you are authorized to do so and are permitted to provide that information for the intended purpose.

4. Purchases, entitlements, and refunds

  • Some supported forms may require a purchase or active entitlement before final PDF output is available.
  • Mobile purchases may be processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The applicable store processes the payment; Formly does not collect or store your full payment-card number.
  • Formly may verify product identifiers, transaction or purchase tokens, order or transaction status, entitlement status, refunds, and revocations to determine access.
  • Refund eligibility and processing are subject to the rules of the store that processed the purchase and applicable law. A refunded, reversed, or revoked purchase may result in removal of the related entitlement.

5. Secure profile transfer

  • Profile transfer is an optional, user-initiated feature. The exporting Formly app encrypts the selected profile package before it is sent for temporary transfer.
  • The encrypted transfer package may be stored by Formly for up to 48 hours so the receiving Formly app can retrieve it. It is intended to be automatically deleted after the transfer window expires.
  • The decryption key is carried in the shared link after the #key= fragment and is designed to remain client-side rather than being stored with the encrypted package on Formly servers.
  • Anyone who receives the complete valid share link may be able to import the encrypted profile. Treat the full link as sensitive and share it only with an intended recipient you trust.

6. Supported forms, updates, and document versions

  • Formly supports only the forms and document workflows made available in the app. Supported forms, features, prices, and availability may change.
  • Form definitions and PDF templates may be updated to correct issues, support changed form editions, or improve output behavior.
  • Even when Formly updates supported assets, you remain responsible for reviewing the generated document and confirming that it meets the current requirements for your filing.

7. Service availability and output limits

Formly is provided as software and may occasionally be unavailable, interrupted, or affected by device, network, operating-system, form-template, or data issues. Formly does not promise uninterrupted operation or error-free document output.

8. Abuse and restrictions

  • Fraud, repeated refund abuse, chargeback abuse, attempts to bypass payment or entitlement checks, interference with security controls, or misuse of transfer links may result in restriction of access.
  • Formly may limit, suspend, or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, payment integrity, security, or lawful operations.

9. Account deletion and limited retention

Account deletion removes normal server-side account data when possible. Local profile, form, progress, or generated-document data may remain on a device until you delete it in the app or remove the app's local data. Limited server records may be retained when reasonably necessary for payment records, security, fraud prevention, disputes, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.
